The distribution of the mRS scores at 90 days according to the affected hemisphere. The rate of functional independence (mRS 0–2) and death or dependency (mRS 5–6) showed no difference between LHS and RHS patients. In unadjusted analysis, a 3.3% higher mortality rate was found in LHS compared to RHS patients 90 days after stroke thrombectomy (30.2 vs. 26.9%, p = 0.008)
